■ Description

GTS-40E/S Tundish Spraying Machine is a highly developed combined mixing unit, pump unit and spraying unit for the spraying of refractory-slurry masses for Tundish-repair in steel mills. The combination of Ø250 continuous mixer and vertical screw pump 2L7 guarantees a homogenous mix of high quality refractory masses for efficient and utmost economical coating of Tundishes. This equipment is widely used in modern steel mills with continuous casting units to ensure undisturbed operation.

Working Principle of GTS-40E/S tundish liner spraying machine:

The dry pre-mixed slurry masse is charged from big bags into the material hopper. The combination of a fluidization unit with a vibrator assures a steady flow of the dry material and provides a safe charging of the continuous mixer. In the continuous mixer, the dry material is continuously mixed with an adjustable quantity of water to a high quality spray slurry with constant consistency and quality.

The ready mixed wet material flows from the continuous mixer into the wet mortar hopper of the screw pump. The screw pump has a funnel shaped wet mortar hopper with a concentric pump drive. A vibrator together with the conveying shaft in the wet mortar refractory hopper is guaranteeing a trouble free steady flow of the slurry masses to the suction opening of the vertically arranged screw pump.

The screw pump is conveying the refractory material through pressure resistant hoses to the spray gun ready for further processing. The gunning material is applied manually or fully automatically and without any loss by a spray manipulator in constant layers at the inside walls of the Tundish. The spraying is controlled by the spray nozzle.

GTS-40E/S Tundish gunning spraying machine has been designed for wet gunning (spraying). It is often used for the tundish repair.

During the steel metallurgical process, Tundish is an important equipment connecting the connected casting machine and steel water bag for storage and distribution of steel water. To ensure the quality of the steel water and the continuous casting process, the inner wall of the middle bag needs to be scheduled regularly to prevent contamination or adhesion to prevent direct contact with the steel water and the wall of the bag. Therefore, the Tundish Spraying Machine is widely used in intermediate packaging operations in the steel metallurgical industry.
