The SCO summit in Zhengzhou

On December 7^th, Hua Chunying, the foreign ministry spokeswoman, formally announced at a regular press conference: the 14th meeting of Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) summit will be held in Zhengzhou, Henan province on 14^th -15^th December.

The reason that the SCO summit held in Zhengzhou are:

1. The political and economic factor:

The Silk Roads in the 21^st century(The Belt and Road Initiative) and Zhengzhou-Europe International Block Train make Zhengzhou be an important node, building transport corridor that links up home and board and connect east-central-west regions. Zhengzhou will certainly become an rising city in the central interior region.

2. The advantage of transportation junction

Convenient airports and high-speed rail is the foundation of Zhengzhou to stand out.

Zhengzhou airports rose to national strategy; Zhengzhou, with convenient high-speed rail, is one of the few high-speed rail hub cities in domestic. T2 terminal of Zhengzhou airport will be soon put into use and become  the second largest integrated transport hub in domestic.

Generally speaking, the railway construction project is mainly consist of subgrade engineering, bridge engineering and tunnel engineering, etc. For high standards of high speed railway project, the foundation construction of subgrade engineering is particularly important and need drilling rig (reverse circulation drilling rig, the rotary jet grouting drilling machine and spiral drilling machine), concrete machinery and steel processing equipment, etc. Bridge project is divided into precast concrete box girder and cast-in-place concrete box girder. And the construction of prefabricated concrete box girder is mainly completed by concrete mixing station, concrete pump, concrete placing boom, hydraulic templates of precast concrete box girders and steel bar processing machinery. In addition, the construction of High-speed rail tunnel project generally adopts the drilling and blasting method, which need these tunnel construction machines such as rock drilling machinery (drill jumbo), lining equipment , concrete shotcrete machine, grout pump(grout mixer and agitator) and earth-rock machinery. It can also adopt full-face excavating method, that the main machinery is shield tunneling machine for soft construction and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).

Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) summit held in Zhengzhou is contributed to raise political position in the country, even in the world. At the same time, the current national is being at the implementation stage of the policy of “The Belt and Road Initiative”, and Central China plays an important role in it. The meeting will further boost the implementation of the policy and promote the economic development of Zhengzhou.
