Recently, our company successfully delivered a grouting machine to an Ethiopian customer for foundation reinforcement
projects.
Ethiopia has complex geological conditions, covering various types such as sand, gravel, broken rock and weak clay, which puts strict requirements on the technical parameters of the grouting pump station. Gaodetec company specially customized the following functions of the compact grouting plant for him:
1. High-pressure injection and multi-process support
The injection pump station is equipped with a high-pressure transmission system (pressure ≥ 25MPa), supporting three processes: rotary jet grouting, fixed jet grouting and static pressure grouting:
Rotary jet pile: suitable for sandy soil layer, forming a cylindrical consolidation body through high-speed rotating nozzle to improve the bearing capacity of the foundation;
Fixed jet board wall: construct an anti-seepage barrier in the broken rock layer to block groundwater infiltration;
Static pressure filling: for soft clay layer, low pressure slurry is injected to optimize the soil structure.
2. Intelligent control and material compatibility
Integrated pressure-flow dual closed-loop control system, real-time monitoring of grouting parameters and automatic adjustment, to avoid formation splitting or slurry waste due to pressure fluctuations.
Supports a variety of materials such as cement-based, chemical grout (such as polyurethane) and two-liquid mixture (cement + water glass), adapting to different geological and construction period requirements:
Chemical grout: adjustable solidification time (several seconds to several hours), suitable for emergency repairs;
Dual-liquid grouting: rapid solidification to fill cracks and prevent rock slippage.
Mobile design and localization transformation
The trailer chassis and modular structure are used to facilitate rapid deployment in areas with weak infrastructure in Ethiopia.
In view of the unstable local power supply, diesel generator sets are added to ensure construction continuity.
The Ethiopian customer said that he would apply the grouting pump plant in many scenarios, and sincerely shared some of his work experience in grouting equipment:
1. Repair of existing building settlement
Problem: Concentrated precipitation in the rainy season causes the foundation to soften, causing uneven settlement of the building.
Solution:
Inject low-flow cement slurry under the foundation through static pressure grouting to fill the gaps and lift the foundation;
The "sequential grouting" process is used, first the periphery and then the center, to gradually restore the flatness of the building.
Data support: After the repair of a government office building project, the settlement rate dropped from 8mm/month to 0.5mm/month within 6 months.
2. Road and bridge foundation reinforcement
Problem: Heavy vehicle loads cause the roadbed to become loose, causing cracks in the road surface or vehicle jumping at the bridge head.
Solution:
High-pressure jet grouting piles are used to reinforce the gravel roadbed to form a composite foundation;
Curtain grouting is performed on the broken rock abutment to reduce the permeability coefficient to below 10⁻⁶ cm/s.
Effect verification: After the test section is treated, the roadbed rebound modulus increases by 2.3 times, and the dynamic deformation modulus Evd≥60MPa.
3. Water conservancy project anti-seepage treatment
Problem: Leakage from cracks in the dam body leads to water loss and even structural instability.
Solution:
Use polyurethane chemical slurry for "crack grouting" to fill tiny cracks;
Arrange a double-liquid grouting curtain on the dam foundation to form a continuous anti-seepage wall.
Case reference: After the repair of a dam on the Awash River, the leakage was reduced by 85% and the reservoir capacity recovery rate reached 92%.
